How to convert MOV to AVI/ MP3
Posted on: October 13th, 2008A lot of cameras will film clips in Quicktime’s MOV format and it’s an annoying format when you want to edit those clips. Here’s a small outline that will allow you to convert your Quicktime MOV files to AVI files, which can then be edited, or further converted into an MP3 file. Read the rest of this entry »
Bonus Tuesday: it’s formal day!
Posted on: October 1st, 2008Bring your suits and ties. This Bonus Tuesday was all about formal clothes, pictures, pictures, and more pictures. For the group activity we did a cool thing called MadLibs. Then we switched over to “interview mode” and interviewed Little Red Riding Hood. For a finishing touch, we sang some songs, waved, and said “goodbye” ya’ll! Special moment at 44:00 when Dave and I show a video of us filmed back in 1997. We were young. Here’s the recorded footage: Read the rest of this entry »
UFOs and Drama: 3rd Tropical Punch
Posted on: September 23rd, 2008Our third episode of Tropical Punch was hosted at our brand new website, TropicalPunch.tv and we yacked about UFOs, antique radio, and Shaziggle (we invented that word). Then we introduced the “Hammer of Justice” prop and used this weapon to punish each other for lame jokes.
Here’s the recorded version and be sure to check out: our Radio Drama, “The Bitter Sting of Betrayal” at 50 minutes into the show and the lamest Batman joke at an hour and eight minutes.
Sports and Peppers: 2nd Tropical Punch
Posted on: September 9th, 2008Episode 2 of Tropical Punch is available online! What made this show outstanding are (1) Dave’s burps and the (2) viewers easiness at winning at the group game!

How to setup an online Picasa photo album
Posted on: September 1st, 2008IMO, Picasa is the best photo management program out there. If you have a digital camera, you should have Picasa, as it will allow you to sort, send, edit, crop, print, and share all your pictures. (It’s also free.)
This tutorial shows how to use Picasa to upload pictures to an online album. At the end of these steps, you will be able to select certain pictures, upload them to an online album, and send the link to friends to view the photos. For example, I uploaded the pictures of a recent conference held in Brazil, SA.

How to setup a free IRC client and wyldryde
Posted on: September 1st, 2008Many live shows, like our Tropical Punch, Rhett and Link’s live show, and tech king Chris Pirillo, use the wyldryde.org free chatroom. Using the wyldryde chatroom allows for viewers to quickly choose a username and begin chatting, without having to go through the hassle of registering an account at BlogTV or Ustream.
However, as the admin of your wyldryde chatroom channel, you may find yourself a bit limited in moderating your chatroom. This tutorial shows you how to connect to your chatroom using an IRC program.
“IRC” is the format of chat that is being used by wyldryde. An IRC program facilitates modding in a couple of ways: i. they allow admins to save entire chatroom chats and they facilitate kicking/banning. You may also view the chatroom in full screen, instead of being restricted to the small chatroom that is embeded in a webpage.

First Episode of Tropical Punch
Posted on: August 26th, 2008Our biweekly live show, Tropical Punch, had it’s first airing yesterday! We talked about Amber’s dream of going to Ireland, Stephanie’s phone call with a certain Mrs. Daniel Gardner, and Heather’s experience with throwed rolls. Then Dave stopped by with a can of green hair coloring and we started doing magic tricks and reading a sob story about Lanky Franky.
For those of you who lost the world-changing, attitude-molding and life-directing first episode of Tropical Punch … do not worry!! We recorded it!
Here a few pictures of the occasion:

First Official Live Broadast
Posted on: July 26th, 2008Dave and I had a blast during our live broadcast on July 21st! Music, chortling, phone calls, pictures, more music - it was a pretty full 2 hour show.
The best part were the viewers. Wonderful human beings who deserve a prize for simply existing.
We had a photo mailin and here are some of the wonderful crowd who participated:
If it’s that good, share it!
Posted on: May 9th, 2008After two years of videomaking, my friend Sarah and I designed a DVD of my videos which I placed on sale at Lulu.com for $8.75. However, I took a rather nontraditional approach with this official DVD.
I shared it.
First, I made a torrent of the DVD iso file and made it freely available online. This allowed persons all over the web and around the world to download and burn their own copy of the DVD. Then I pirated my official DVD by making one hundred DVD-R copies. If that wasn’t horrible enough, I then offered to mail one of these pirated copies for free to the first one hundred viewers who sent me their addresses.
In summary, this free DVD project allowed over 100 people to receive a product that was on sale elsewhere. That’s enough to make a businessman commit hara-kiri.
